I joined a casino recently. Freaking sweet, I know. Suddenly I'm all cool, wearing my sweet grey tux and getting women to blow my die. That's why a manly man like me would join the casino, right?

As if. I'd heard this casino did the nicest hot chocolate in the world. And it's open till the wee hours of the morning. That alone was enough to get me interested. So I sidled insid(l)e, joined up for free, and went to get my hot chocolate.

At this point I find out that at least one of your party has to be gambling to be entitled to the free and delicious chocolatey beverage (did I mention it was free? Well, it's free. Free and delicious, like I like my women ). Luckily my friend fancied his luck on the roulette (he lost his fiver ), and so I ordered three hot chocolates.

Yeah, three.

Holy were they delicious. They were, without a doubt, the most amazing hot chocolates I have ever had. And (semi-)free! I then went on to win a fiver and lose a fiver in two bets. So, all in all a good night.

Anyway, the point of this thread is to discuss seemingly supercool things you've done for really quite stupid reasons. Did you finally pass your driving test because you prefer pink?....uh, I can't think of anymore example to lead us on with.

Oh, man. I used to be big into gambling a couple of months ago. I'd go in with a $20 and regularly leave with $100 in my pocket. Gambling was my source of income for a while.

I went to a cigar bar once with some friends decked out in suits (I even had a three-piece!). We were expecting this place to be a real classy joint but it looked more or less like a common pub. I looked hella awesome with the cigar but I felt terribly overdressed so we left soon after and got McDonalds.
