^ I am going to contradict my post underneath this and just say I love your choice of avatar/signature set. Viserys was a brilliant character and I miss him dearly. I truthfully thought I was the only one.
smurf that. The Targaryens lost all claim when Robert smashed their empire into oblivion. Tommen and Myrcella shouldn't have a claim either, since they are the spawn of incest, as was Joffrey, so obviously Stannis is the heir apparent. But when does logic play into things? It did with Eddard, and look how that went for him. Then again all of which I speak of was covered two seasons ago, so it's all in the past. Just like the Targaryen nonsense. It happened over 10 years ago folks. The Targaryens, the few that are alive (Dany, Aemon) need to get over it. Thankfully Aemon has, and Dany can't control a smurfing free city. So. Yeah. She can be Queen of Slaves in Meereen. Enjoy your dynasty, "your grace".
Up to ADWD and beyondHate Stannis all you want, but he's the only King-contender that has accomplished anything. Everybody else that is in contention is fiddling their thumbs, and hoping that the throne falls into their laps. It doesn't work that way. It isn't a contest. You have to get off your lazy arse and kill somes. Stannis' biggest redeemable quality, to me, is that he takes the threat of the Others [White Walkers] seriously, unlike ANYBODY else.

Stannis would have already taken the throne if it weren't for Tywin's men coming in at the last minute and saving everyone's asses. Seriously.
Stannis is the only person who I feel could successfully rule Westeros. Though he would have to abandon his Red God before the end, or he'll never get near the throne.
He is too easily manipulated when promised a certain amount of power. He's too bent on ruling with his own personal idea of honor, which is something nobody else can adhere to. So, yea. If he executed every other living person in Westeros he'd totally be the best king.
if stannis gets the throne it will be Mellisandre who actually rules..
just like Tywin actually ruled instead of Joffrey

You know, the more I think about it the more I realize I have no idea who I'd want to be on the Iron Throne because I have no idea who'd make a fit ruler. I would have said Robert Stark because he seem to have a good head on his shoulders but he's kind of dead. And I don't think he wanted to be ruler of the Seven Kingdoms anyway, just King of the North.
