I wouldn't mind generating the world and picking a site. Simply because last time I played DF I hand-picked a site right next to a Goblin civilization that was led, and I trout you not, by a giant warthog demon made of snow. It was fun when that came a-knockin'. (Fell apart after one hit. Turns out snow isn't very strong)
