Also got this for christmas, am enjoying it so far. The sheer scale of the game is awesome, been rinsing it for two days straight and have done pretty much bollock all. I started off with my character being some armour laden warhammer toting drunken asshole, basically Robert Baratheon from SoIaF, but just before I turned off for today joined the Dark Brotherhood and stole/got given a bunch of all this crazy hax enchanted assassins armour, so I think I am going to go around stabbing people with daggers for a bit. I would love to smith and enchant some insanely hax weapons and armour but god damn if it isn't a pain in the arse to do. So much faff. Also I am crap at pickpocketing which is annoying because I want to be good at it, so I can go around and reverse pickpocket fish and troll skulls into random NPC's pockets, just for the fun of it.

I... I have done so much. I need to do some more daedric quests but seriously I've adventured the smurf out of everywhere. I think it's about time I settle down, get married, and then kill everything.

All this talk of cats - I have not seen a single Khajit since I started. Someone please tell me where I can find one. I have been told there's a gang of them outside Whiterun and a band of them roving around trading, but I have not seen either.
today I have:
Begun my work as an assassin for the brotherhood. I have established my M.O for my jobs and hope that this will lead to my deeds planting fear into the hearts of all in Skyrim. I will don my brotherhood outfit, travel to where my victim lives, introduce myself by staring at them and saying nothing. Wait until nightfall, break into their house and then backstab them while they sleep. Relieve them of their clothes, don them myself and then dance around their home covering them with cheese, meat, wooden bowls and books and then make my escape. Been very successful so far, although IDK if that is going to work on my next job. We shall see.
Unlocked the full three word version of Unrelenting Force, and so obviously ran around shouting bears down waterfalls and guards off of watchtowers and other things of that nature. I do love that shout. It's pretty much the perfect response to any query or insult or greeting anyone in the game world gives you.
Went on a break-in and pickpocketing spree in Whiterun, which lead to a rather disturbing incident when I broke into the alchemist shop at about 2 am in the morning and was somewhat unnerved to hear the owner talking to me like she normally does in the daytime, even though she wasn't anywhere to be seen. I went upstairs and into her room to find her sound asleep, but periodically spouting out her generic "i've got all the potions you need" stuff. It gave me the heebie jeebies, so I just looted her store of everything in it and left.
I also joined the werewolf club. I love being a werewolf, apart from having to deal with that silver hand base because I was getting my ass kicked horribly. That krev the skinner asshole was a proper pain in the arse, took me a few attempts to take him down but I finally did it and then went off on my merry old way being all part wolf and what have you. I quite like the daft wolf related lines the guards in cities drop on you. YOU SMELL LIKE WET DOG HA HA, IS THAT FUR I SEE IN YOUR EARS?? my favourite part of my whole evening was right before I turned off for the day, I strolled into the Inn in Markarth and asked the old bard dude for a tune. he broke out his lute and started jamming and everyone gathered around to cheer and listen, while King Robert (me) took off all his clothes, sank a few bottles of wine and danced around like a lunatic on the bar. Unfortunately I think he had one too many because he decided it would be more entertaining if all this was going on while he was a werewolf. Obviously, this didn't really sit well with the other patrons, especially when he started roaring and chasing them all over the inn, tearing them to shreds and eating them. With the people already inside and guards slowly filtering in from outside I think he managed to get through about 20 people before they decided it was not such a good idea to come in anymore. I followed them out, pinned the pub owners daughter to the ground and ripped her apart in front of them and then the guards finally managed to get me down when I was attacking someone who I think must have been an important NPC because they took a knee and just refused to die and it confused me. Either way, it was a very fun way to end the day. Bastards of Markarth, thought they had issues with the Forsworn until drunk naked werewolf Robert Baratheon rolled into town.
I do enjoy this game somewhat.
