It will be coming on November 20th to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a PC version will follow later.
Apparently GS had some poster come in Revealing Chris AND Leon are in the game!
Capcom's Resident Evil 15th anniversary special is scheduled for today/tomorrow (depends where you live) It's Jan. 20, 2012 7 PM Japan Standard Time (That's 5 AM US Eastern). They're live streaming the event: http://ustre.am/jZnU
This is an especially big year for Capcom and the RE series as the 5th film, Resident Evil: Retribution and two games (360/PS3 Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City & 3DS Resident Evil: Revelations) and an HD collection Resident Evil Chronicles HD (Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles) for PS3 are also set for this year.
Thanks 'I don't need a name' for the trailer link. Updated first post with it.
There's apparently another Capcom RE event this evening in San Fransisco. Anyone in the Bay area know anything about this? I read it on Kotaku, but don't have any details as of yet.
Ugh. Cover based combat along with the same control system? Have they learned NOTHING? I like Resident Evil but it is not an action game and the methodical controls speak to that. A big part of the reason RE5 was so bad (Lava Wesker aside) was the controls were poor for the game style. 4 managed to pull it off as things were still moving just slow enough.
I will still wait and see but it doesn't look very promising.
Okay so some new info from the RE event in Japan. There were 150 people in the core team, but (including overseas staff) almost 600 people touched the game. They've been working in secret for the past few years and apart from the early reveal I'm really surprised that Capcom was able to keep this project under wraps for soo long. The Return of Zombies was mentioned ! New trailers for the other 3 RE titles were shown. Revelations got a Story trailer, Operation Racoon City (which wasn't pushed too hard in Japan like it was elsewhere) got a trailer and HD collection Resident Evil Chronicles HD (Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles) for the PS3 resurfaced with a trailer as well.
But honestly I really wish GS hadn't ruined the surprise. This was (probably) Capcom's big nuke for E3 and now that the cat's out of the bag, it squashed pretty much all the hype surrounding Revelations. Operation Racoon City wasn't too big for me, but It'll be hard to concentrate on the other RE titles with a main entry in the series coming.
2 RE games this year I feel spoilt Capcom I actually do. RE 5 still gets put in my PS3 from time to time. I would like to see a few more puzzles in RE6 mind & no retarded AI co-op player!
