Indeed. It's "Kisutisu" in Japanese, not "Kuisutisu" or "Kyusutisu" or whatever it would've been. Quite different. Also the "qu = kw" thing is mostly English. Lots of Latin-based languages don't say it like that. Um, I think.Originally Posted by SwordFox

I never had an issue with Teedus pronunciation, if it sounds stupid, it's simple because he is stupid.
I think Mako was a bigger deal for me, and it's just another reason not to play the Compilation so I don't have to hear that awful pronunciation.

Oh right. I have always pronounced it the supposedly "right" way because of "mako" sounding like a play on "mahou" meaning magic.

Anyways, that is interesting, and I will forever be amused by Japanese pronunciation of words.
