Your friend's girlfriend/boyfriend wants to add you on facebook

I always feel weird about adding a friend's gf/bf on facebook because im worried about how awkward things will get if they break up. And Im the type of guy who's happy to add a freind of a freind who ive only met once.

I currently have 3 friend's girlfriends pending acceptance.

Yes. I also don't have a problem defriending them later though.

It depends on how well I know them. If I've actually gotten to talk to them, sure. If I've hung out with them--definitely.

If it's because of one of friendly comment on a picture....well, smurf. Really, why not?

I actually have become friends with friends (now ex) boyfriend or girlfriend, and ended up being better friends with them than my original friend. Unless they like, cheat or are abusive, I feel no need to automatically delete someone just because they and my friend broke up.

I can only think of one possible instance where this sort of situation came up but I was already an acquaintance of the guy so it wasn't a big deal anyway. I probably wouldn't add a significant other purely because -- wait nope I can think of another situation but I'm pretty sure the dude thought I was a threat so I just put his mind at ease. Whatever.

If I've at least met them maybe. I don't need someone adding me just to spy on my friend more. If they break up and we're not good friends I just unfriend them.

Only EoFFers add me on FB anymore so I haven't had to deal with this situation. I guess I'd take it on a case-by-case basis.

Sure, if they want to give me access to everything they do or have ever done, that's their problem.

I have no problem adding the significant other of friends or friends of my significant other if I actually plan on hanging out with them.

If I've actually met and hung out with them a couple of times and they're dating a good friend of mine. If I've met them once and looks like they won't be coming around again, probably not.

I always accept, especially if I hate my "friend"

Only if I'm actually friends with them. Why would I "friend" anyone otherwise?
