Remember when a few years ago the original "that really rustled my jimmies" image was this thing that would pop up on /v/ every few weeks and then disappear again, and then out of nowhere it became this huge thing?

Mm, my flatmate and I would discuss how jimmie rustling suddenly became huge over the past few months. We could never work it out.

I can answer that. I happened to be there the first time it truly exploded on /v/. At first, I was scanning the thread, confused on what was so damn funny. Before I knew it, I was laughing to the point of having tears in my eyes because I kept staring at all these damn cereal box animals and the various photoshops of them. That, and the way people were "laughing" at them had me going to. I honestly it was just mob mentality that really got out of hand, even for that board. From there, a bunch of threads about it was made that night after the "original" died and it snowballed from there.
