Good to know you enjoyed it! I had a lot more ideas that I just couldn't reconcile into a fair game, so I had to throw out the Cult, the Masons, Janitor, Thief, Stabproof Townie, Fisherman, and a range of brand new roles which I won't spoil for you

I thought this was a pretty great mafia and you did a great job with it dude. I was defintely mindsmurfed by day 5 or so. I had fun with it anyway.

I think my own favourite part (or at least that I was involved in) was wasting Laguna on night one and everyone else (especially Bleys) being utterly blagged by it on day 2 and trying to work out what the smurf had gone on, and what the reasons were behind us doing it, when all it was was me reading the thread and feeling "I don't like this guy he will be dangerous, we should get rid of him" and finally convincing the other people in my team to kill him. Then bam, Doctor Del. Then hilarity ensues. I loved it.

You didn't kill Laguna, though. Somehow both targets of the Bus Driver were shot on Night 1! So at least I saved somebody.

Reading through the mafia forum, is this how Psychotic is when not restrained by the rules of EoFF? It's frightening.

Well that's just ruined my day at least you died.

edit: my other favourite part of the game was I think the day two or night two, possibly 3 thread in the mafia forum. There is a special surprise in there waiting for all the townie players and members of the other mafia.

Night 2 - standard kill is the thread, now I've checked again. We all went kind of mental, it was great.

You were pleased at fooling a first-timer? You're easy to get along with. Everybody (Except Shauna) smurfing fooled me, and I fooled nobody.

DK, Shauna, and Psy-as-Luneth are the 3 players who acquired Magnificent Bastard status in my eyes this game. Well done.

Must have sucked to have been the remaining town stuck between the mobsters. That end-game was to find out which mafia won; town never had a chance after it murdered itself. Good game.

Aw thanks. You did pretty well for your first game!

But you were really gunning for me. It had me super concerned for Setzer's last day (or two). I was doing so well hiding in plain sight until you made those crazy claims. If you hadn't pointed me out, I probably would have survived another night. I loved how on at least one occasion people made lists of all the characters and simply forgot to include Setzer, even if I'd just posted. xD
The gunning for Wakka did not worry me so much because HC had already made him super scummy with his earlier play. My poor replacing just didn't help that earlier suspicious activity.

But thanks a lot to Jiro for setting this all up and keeping up with the shenanigans. I had a great time.

Cid was the best Jailkeeper! Randomized power roles are amazing

I actually want to see what the night actions were there but I'd have to actually know what relevance they had (if any) being randomized after Night 3 (which is when I quit and stopped paying attention)

Next mafia game should just be 20 power roles with random actions. there's the real mindsmurf

    [M] Relm - Grift Relm
    [M] Wakka - Frame Noctis
    [M] Leila - Investigate Wedge
    [M] Rikku - Investigate Quistis

The Sharpshooter's special ability is literally impossible to affect. It shoots through protection (incl. Bodyguard), hiding, roleblocking and, in this case, switching. The perfect killshot.

Looks like the other mafia trusted my Kira instinct. There's a lesson there, if only I could think of how to phrase i...nope, it's gone.

That Kira instinct is literally the only thing I had going for me, though.

We only killed you because you got the message from Wedge after we roleblocked Wedge, and we thought that meant you were lying and thus scum. Lucky break.

The triple posting or the rampant profanity?

Finally, thank you to Jiro for running such a fun game and devising a suitably fiendish set up.

Yes, Jiro and Goldenboko must both be praised for a smashing game and making me lose my Mafia virginity.

    Ah, a custom role. Nvm.
