Xenogears is the tragic story of how your whole life can take a crappy turn, just because you happened to see a lady in a wedding dress before her wedding.

Most of you will probably think I'm insane for this, but the game I have probably put the most time into is Final Fantasy VIII. I put above fifty hours into the game nearly in every play through, and I have beaten it many times. It was my first final fantasy and what brought me into the rpg genre, so the game holds a lot of nostalgia for me. That game is sort of a happy place for me, so I always play it when I need cheering up.
I have played through Metal Gear Solid 1 probably more times than Final Fantasy VIII. It was the game I first played after being VIII the first time, and I got obsessed. I know back in second grade I got to the point where I could easily beat the game twice in one day if I wanted to. This is probably a close second to Final Fantasy VIII.
Tied with Metal Gear Solid is Xenosaga. I love that series (yes, even II), and I've played through the first one on multiple occasions. I really don't have any accurate estimates of how long I've put behind each of these games, but it is easily over two hundred hours for each game.
I've played FFIX over 20 times. Of those, roughly 75% have been full, 100% complete playthroughs (barring Excalibur II, of course) taking around 100 hours each.
Easily Morrowind and Skyrim. I have 130 hours clocked in on Skyrim. Havent purchased any of the DLC yet. I remember I had a single 200 hour file on Morrowind on the original Xbox, on top of all the other files I had on Xbox and PC in that game.
The longest Final Fantasy was probably X. I literally had a 100+ hour file on that. I think its the only one that even came close to 100 hours in the series. I remember Xenogears being pretty long as well.
Ultima Online, which I played way back around 2000 for a couple of years, and then off-and-on for another couple years later (including a free player-run shard just a couple of years ago). I have no idea how many hours I put into it. 500? 1000? 2000? I cannot begin to guess. Second would probably be EverQuest, which I played obsessively for about 6-8 months one year.
For single player games, I would have to say Final Fantasy VII, which I played through multiple times in my teenage years. And for only one playthrough, I spent well over 100 hours on Final Fantasy XII.
Very tricky to say as most of the games I spent most of my time on don't track this kind of thing. Still, it would probably go something like this...
1. Final Fantasy XIV
2. Chuck Yeager Air Combat
3. Football Manager [year]
4. Final Fantasy VII
5. Civilization IV
6. Final Fantasy XI

I've never met anyone quite like Hux. He's right about so many things, but as soon as I start to respect him, he takes a dive down Stupidity Lane.![]()
I think I ended up with several weeks if not months of time logged into Final Fantasy XI.
