Default Introducing people to your favourite series.

While I'm still watching the series myself (beginning of season 6) I decided to make my mom watch Doctor Who, as I knew she'd love it. About 10 minutes into the first episode and she told me she was already addicted. We blew through half a season today.

Watching some of my favourite moments with her, and watching her (attempting to) figure things out has been a lot of fun, and I know as the story gets more complex, will be even greater.

What series have you introduced people to? Did you have fun with their reactions?

I've introduced roughly everyone I've ever met to the Dresden Files. Every single one has said they love it and it is amazing. That's because every single one of them are decent human beings. I love talking to them about it.

Speaking of, foa; you've got one hell of a ride in store, when you get round to catching up. Jesus Christ.

I tried to introduce Doctor Who to my brothers. They don't seem really all that interested in it at the time. :/ Usually, they're the one trying to introduce me to their favorite stuff. It's a hit or miss with me.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

I recently educated Rantz on Parks and Rec after trying to get him to watch it two times before. There was a lot of canoodling and squeeing at cute moments together and now he seems to love it as much as I do

I tried to make my sisters watch Dexter, but they saw blood and immediately became disinterested

Since I have no life, I am typically the person to introduce my small group of friends to new shows and new books. They typically respond in a positive manner because my tastes are impeccable.

Introduced Jericho to my bro, and he loved it. Introduced him to Seaquest DSV, he loved it. Introduced him Legend of the Seeker, told me I wasn't his brother anymore.

I've never really tried to introduce anyone to series, because they never really bother with my interests, so I doubt getting them to watch Doctor Who or [insert series here] is going to change much

I try to get my family to watch documentaries from time to time, though 9/10 they never bother. I'm probably more willing to convince my friends, like here on EoFF or whatever.
