Opening themes.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is amazing. I've only seen one episode so far, and now I love the whole series and think all of it is amazing. Why?
Because it has this song as it's opening theme.

How important are opening themes to you? Has an opening theme ever made you love/hate a show before the episode has even begun?
Firefly is another example of this for me. Brilliant opening theme that set me up with great expectations for the episode.
Star Trek: The Next Generation's opening perfectly captures the sense of adventure and discovery that the show portrays most of the time. Really wowed me as a child.
Samurai Champloo's opening always struck an odd, but good feeling in me. I know there is some obvious official sub genre BS name for it, but I like the "chill" kind of hip hop heard in the opening theme, as well as most of the show's soundtrack.
Dragonball Z's original Japanese opening is silly as the show itself, but the pure, fun energy that emanates from that song is satisfyingly uplifting!

The intro's to each episode of 24 were always great too - I can still just watch a random episode and get hooked instantly, even knowing full well what happens.
Also, Sailor Moon <3 the song. Same with Cardcaptors and Pokémon.

Totally agree with al of you here. In particular, The Next Generation and Buffy. TNG's opening is just pure, over the top, Space-Indy adventure music, and Buffy's ridiculous rocky intro suits the theme of the show perfectly.
Oh yeah, Game of Thrones is epic.
Also, both season of American Horror Story openings are creepy as trout.
TNG definitely has some classic opening music too.
