    Default The Year of Luigi

    The latest Nintendo Direct has announced that 2013 is the year of Luigi!!





    Luigi's Reaction to Getting a Year Dedicated to Him. (Can anyone tell me how to embed youtube videos in posts? It gliches up on me for whatever reason)

    So let's talk about the lean, green plumber Luigi.

    Along with Mario and Yoshi, I always main him in every game he's playable in, whether it's Mario Kart, Mario Party, or Smash Bros. There's also times in Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World that I would kill off Mario just so I could play through the game as Luigi. I also practically used him for the whole game in New Super Mario Bros. DS.

    Luigi is and forever will be my favorite Nintendo character, Luigi's Mansion was the ONLY reason I wanted a Gamecube and his newest 3DS title was why I wanted a 3DS. I am happy to hear that there will be more Luigi.

    Luigi should have been the main character anyway. He is the best brother.

    I hope this doesn't count as necro-ing the thread, but since a one month break sounds too short to make a new thread, I'll just post it here.

    Shigeru Miyamoto (the man who created many Nintendo franchises and characters including Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, F-Zero, Star Fox, and Pikmin) went to New York to visit some fellow Nintendo staff and fans to celebrate the Year of Luigi. The Miiverse also has a new community dedicated to celebrating the Year of Luigi.

    I've been walking around work with my Luigi hat going "Waaah" for wa-Luigi cause it cracks me up. When I wear my mustache i can't help but talk with a bad Italian accent.

    I love Luigi and I always preferred playing as him over that fat chunker Mario.
