the Japs don't give the slightest of trouts about the 360 and will probably care less about the XBone. The game section in Tsutaya for the PSP is 3 times the size it is for the 360, and the DS. Actually the PS2 as well has a bigger selection than the 360 does.
And Microsoft take yet another hit when Just Add Water and Oddworld Inhabitants has said that they will not bring their Oddworld remake, 'New 'n' Tasty!' to the X-Box 360 and the X-Box One after being told that the developers have to team with a publisher for them to allow it onto their consoles. In an interview with Oddworld Inhabitants boss Lorne Lamming he said:
'We don't have a publisher so we're not officially on the platform, even though we're compatible, even though we'll be ready to do it. Period.
Why do we need a publisher when we self-finance our games, we build our own IP, we manage our own IP and we've turned nearly two million units online as indie publishers sold - not free downloads? Why? What's wrong with us?'
Lamming went on to claim that Microsoft only care about the profit and are out of touch with their audience and lamented that they're not allowed the games on the X-Box when he personally helped them release it.
I'm overjoyed to see such a big name in the indie companies taking a stand against Microsoft for their ridiculous stipulations. Maybe others will follow suit and try and make Microsoft open their eyes and see that they're just hurting themselves.

And then an article where Sony makes an official stance to allow developers to self publish on PSN. Sony keeps winning the game by simply saying "We're not doing that". Microsoft is so pro-actively restricting gamers and developers, it's ridiculous..
I feel sorry for anyone in Sony's PR department. They've been made completely obsolete by Microsoft.
Right now I just hope Microsoft doesn't implode and just collapse from all the restrictive policies. I have been a fan yes, but as a Developer I worry as to where the Xbox brand is going. In the past Microsoft has been really helpful and instrumental in getting the console community mobile in the Independent side. They even bring the best of the PC to Xbox by finding game's Devs like Minecraft's Mojang or helping with game's like Stranger's Wrath by Oddworld for Xbox and have even helped Publish them. When did this change and just WHY?
That is what I would love to know. When did Microsoft become so cold to Developers?
If it is cause of X1, then that would mean they want to establish a system that keeps other Publishers in the loop. However I personally see nothing wrong with self-published material. Come-on Microsoft

Just wanna say that I really enjoy the fact that someone called HasteInTime posted at exactly 21:00:00.
Paul, Dan and I were once dicking around in the Red Dead Friendly Free Roam (no player killing). Just dossing about and that. Making steady progress towards thew big fort in Mexico, but just going at our own pace. We shall call ourselves the Particularly Sarcastic 3. Then some new level 1 player appears on his horse, blasting by at top speed about 30/40 metres away. We shall call that newbie Xbox and the horse 360. Dan immediately withdraws a throwing knife - which we shall call Generation Replacement - and wildly throws it. There was no specific aiming or intent; he just lobbed it in the kids general direction.
It hit the horse right in the head, and the horse stopped dead in its tracks. The newbie went absolutely flying - and I mean smurfing flying - head over heels and crashed into the dirt about 20 metres ahead. It was glorious. And I never expected it to make such a magnificent metaphor for this upcoming generation.
Supposedly the games Microsoft showed at E3 were being run on a more powerful computer than what the XBone would be capable of.
There are pictures circulating of guys at E3 fidgeting with things in cabinets that don't look like XBones.
A lot of people are pointing fingers and shouting about how Microsoft are lying, but others are making the reasonable point that they're probably just dev kits.
Apparently all Sony PS4 games were running on proper PS4 Development Kits whereas Microsoft were just using high in PCs with (supposedly) GeForce GTX 780s in them.

On the subject of this thread though... I still am getting an Xbox One. I just wonder where that will leave aspiring indie developers and big/small Development companies that want to self-publish? (Where does that leave Ubisoft, Behtesda, and so on? who are publishers too)

I'm honestly sad that Microsoft is making so many blunders. Like, just when I was starting to get excited about XBone... I'm no longer seeing a reason to buy it over PS4.
From what I can remember, Croc was "okay" but Croc 2 was awesome. So you should totally give the second game a chance.Hmm. I did get the 1st Spyro for my PS3, but it got repetitive so I dropped it. Croc sounds like it might be worse.It's a good game not as good as Crash or Spyro but it's good and the camera angle is a bitch.

I had a friend get really smurfing drunk once. He started vomiting like a mad bastard, and took off his shirt and started rolling around in the mud and his own puke. Throughout all this, he wouldn't stop insisting that he wasn't drunk.
