Interesting list, BoB. Pretty PC heavy.
I dig (pun intended) the screenshot of Dig Dug you used. I never saw that version of the game. Pretty cool.
But I have to, because it's taken you a year to get to 13.

True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.
He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

...So why is everyone waiting for BoB to finish?![]()
You're not doing a very good job of challenging stereotypes.
Also hell yes Timesplitters. Spent hours on Future Perfect. Days. I last remember making a horror map where you played as then England manager Steve McClaren. David Beckham, furious at being dropped from the team, has created a horror mansion designed to exact revenge. Armed with only bricks, can Steve McClaren save the day...?

12. Far Cry 3
PS3, 2012
This game has so many awesome moments without going to the point of Uncharted 3's extremes of walking through deserts and magically washing ashore after being left alone in the ocean. It was an incredibly well designed game and takes the trophy for #1 FPS on this list (speaking of trophies, I got the Platinum for this one and it was never boring). Everything was just done right. I was really surprised to notice that nobody ever created a thread for this game in General Gaming, actually. Crazy, because it deserves one. Maybe I'll make one when I next replay it or something. While there are a lot of things I could touch on, I'm going to focus on my main two favourite things.
Firstly, the moments. They clearly knew how to set the tone. There are three moments in particular that stand out without the big bosses of the game being involved: Firstly, the moment you start talking to the locals and they talk back in a thick Maori accent. I was stunned when this happened and was calling Danielle into the room so she could listen. We found it hilarious and awesome. It's probably nothing for people who aren't NZ'ers but for me it was great. Then there was a scene where a Skrillex reggae mix came on when I had to set fire to some crops and it just felt perfect. Finally there was a certain Apocalypse Now piece that perfected another scene.
Second up? Vaas. Vaas is probably my favourite villain in 15 years. He captured my attention from the moment I first saw him (very early in the game, too) and he never, not once, got boring. I don't even know how to describe him. He's... he's insane. Not demented insane, but he's a nutter. He rides the line between "Oh, he's just being evil" and "The guy has lost his head entirely" with perfection. If I were face to face with this guy I would be troutting myself, because I would have no doubts that he would do anything he says he might do, regardless of how absurd it is or how ruthless it is. He is an awesome battrout crazy smurfer and I love him for it.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
My only qualm with Far Cry 3 was the handholdiness. FC3 with a fully customisable HUD, a la AC4, would have been utterly perfect.![]()
