Quite disappointed that eestlinc didn't get the final word in the real post, but still. Congratulations guys!

If it makes you feel any better I was asked and forgot to send anything...
I'm sorry Del, you deserve better than this. :-(
(SPOILER)And knowing only 6-10 people were contacted I feel twice as bad because someone else could have sent in Del love in my stead.
You nerds can still post speeches and/or nice things you would have said! It doesn't even have to be nice!
In that case, Shorty smells like pickles.
(SPOILER)Oh, you meant Del...
This was Calliope's second submission (I added a link so you newbies would know wtf she was talking about):
Del has obviously had quite the impact on people. One time, I went to a nightclub and got wasted, and then climbed to the top of a speaker stack and shouted the lyrics to Del Murder's "Without Spam" shortly before passing out. People looked confused and wondered who Proto was.
The amount of money I would have paid to witness that defies computation.
Congratulations RSL and Del. You are both very deserving of this award.
I was asked to tell the world what a sore loser you are Del, but I just couldn't come up with anything. So sorry.
Hello Pika Art by Dr Unne ~~~ godhatesfraggles
Congrats to RSL of course. I hope everything is going well with you, wherever you may be.
However, this is for my friend, Tony. There was something typed out a week ago or whenever I was asked to do this, but I decided against it because I didn't want to make his worse half jealous. This I swear. Borderline creepy stuff. I'll keep it simple and distill what was a small dissertation into something fit to be shared between two heterosexual men.
Tony is a great guy and always has been as long as I've known him. The thing I admire most about him is that unlike some of us, he never took the easy road by engaging in constant sarcasm and cynicism with this thing called Eyes on and the greater social Internet hub. He made friends, learned about life and eventually found the love of his life using something I'd written off countless times due to immaturity and ultimately, lack of perspective. Tony is the best example of someone who has used this community to grow as a person in a real and lasting way. He is also the best example of someone who has given back his unique humor, friendship and time for all of us to admire and enjoy. This award is well-deserved and there has been no greater recipient.
Congratulations, T-Money.
I kind of enjoyed roasting Del. Can we roast more people?
Y'know, when other staff members tell you off or edit your posts, you want to fight back a little and have a bit of banter, but when Del warns you, all you think is "You're right! I am a !"

Congrats, you two.
Well said, Yams. Although by "worse half," do you mean Miriel or eestlinc?
You just need a Ciddies host with a sense of humor. So you might have to wait until Del does it again. (oh wait, we weren't starting to roast BoB now?)
In all seriousness, I think it would be a rather fun Lifetime Award tradition, at least for recipients who are still active.
Congrats to RSL and Del Old Man!
