Theatrhythm FINAL FANTASY: Curtain Call - Announced for 3DS!

Following a trademark application last week, Square Enix has now lifted the veil of curiosity and behind it revealed the next addition to the surprisingly addictive Theatrhythm series: Curtain Call!

The sequel, revealed in a recent issue of Japanese magazine Jump, will feature more than 200 songs and 60 characters. These songs include tracks from the recently released FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn and the upcoming Lightning Returns: FINAL FANTASY XIII. It will also feature what's called the multiplayer "Versus Battle Mode" though no concrete details have been revealed about what this mode entails yet.

The game is currently slated for a release on the Nintendo 3DS in Spring 2014 in Japan, though no plans have yet been announced for other regions.

Cool! 200 songs is a lot more than the last game so it should be pretty good. I hope they enhance the game modes rather than just using the same 3 modes as before.

Jeez, when will we finally get our real Final Fantasy RPG for the 3DS?! I mean, Bravely Default is nice and all, but I'd like to see more titles like that, SE.
