The cut off didn't really bug me, I guess I just speculated for a while instead. I'm stoked on the new season upcoming, I can barely wait. Thank god for Gotham in the mean time to keep me sane.

I can't wait for the big reveal and then for the series to not live up to any expectations beyond that and be kinda rubbish for the rest of the season!
And yet I keep coming back for more.
So, they're showing the first episode over here at 2:30am at the same time as it airs in the US. I'm going to have to watch it, there's no way I'll make it through work tomorrow without it being spoiled.
Thought it was a great episode, it kept me guessing and tense the whole way through. The 'will they, won't they' with Rick's arm, and the double kill by Negan definitely got me. Glenn with his head caved in was actually hard to watch.
Against my better judgement I have high hope for this series.
Haha, I got up early and watched it as well! Yeah, I thought it was a cracking opening episode. Negan is brilliantly horrific.
I was a little disappointed there was only one death in the main group. I think this show has needed a cull for a long time and it was a good opportunity to take some of the deadweight out. Oh well, the season is still young!
It's always hard for me to lose a cast member on this show, particularly the further back they've been on it.
Take someone from season 1 for example. On the whole, we spend 4 months with them a year for the better part of 7 years. It's like losing a friend. The episode of Talking Dead afterwards felt like a real funeral service.
I think that's what makes them more reluctant to kill off main characters the further you go into the series. As opposed to a comic book, where there's not a real person behind the character and the writer can do what they want with them.

I won't hear a word against Season 2, it delivered throughout. I still think the finale in that was the best episode the show's ever produced. The Rick - Shane showdown and then the bloody insane exodus from Herschel's farm was phenomenal.
I successfully avoided spoilers all day but I was seeing hype all over the place about how horrible it was.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be from how people talked.
I mean, there's been some horrifying stuff on this show. I think why people are so appalled this time is because they can suspend disbelief at the horrors the zombies create but they still can't handle an actual person doing that trout. Now it's super bad cause a character is meaning the action and isn't just some monster.
Hell, I was more emotional at Maggie being emotional than anything.
That was some of the worst gore for me. I know we all have our own things that set us off, but Glenn's eyeball hanging out as he's trying to mumble to Maggie? Blech.
I agree. I'm not adverse to gore, especially in a fictional show, but that part was the only part I've ever found hard to watch.
What are you all talking about?? Glen died last season. Abraham's death was tragic but at least he was the only one.
