PRETENTIOUS HIPSTER B... wait actually this game's pretty great

Also I see that Pike and I had our votes for EU4 counted! Hurrah!

Those of us who played it back in the early 90s remember a game of near-perfect.
Near-perfect what? Whoever wrote this thing is a preliterate savage! Shauna, don't ask halfwits in future!

e; Haha Chie please leave, XCOM is amazing and has been universally lauded.

As a good game, not a terrific game, and certainly not as game of the generation.

You didn't miss much with this one.
Don't you make me go medieval on you boy.

Don't you worry, I'll not be asking this joker to write anything for me again.

Out of curiosity though, how would you end that sentence? ;P

Don't make me take you out to dinner.
    Wat?
    I was just kidding.
Unless you want to do that?

I need to get around to playing this one eventually since I actually own it. As a side note, I'm shocked The Last Remnant got any votes. That's another one I own that I need to play eventually, but I don't know that I've heard of anyone that actually thought that game was good.

First game on the list I haven't played, though I have heard of it. I might play it someday. Looks cool.

It was free on PS+ a while back, it's a good game, I'd say if you finish your backlog and find it for $15 or so, you should pick it up.

    5 Nominations

Tied with Crusader Kings 2 for last year's GOTY.

Well if it were me what I'd have said is "near-perfection".

All three of these games are good so far. It's awfully hard to compare games from different genres into one list though. What's a better game, chess or rugby?

Kinda sad to see games I nominated keep appearing with a (1) after them.

Vivi, no. You don't want to go medieval with HC. This is what he does:

I cannot believe there is anybody who doesn't believe that XCOM is objectively an incredible game. The only excuse I can think of was that it was too hard but I would bet my right hand that Dark Souls features on this list. If you haven't played this game I strongly suggest you do; it will likely be on sale during this Steam Sale and it is imperative that you try it. Play it on easy mode, if need be, but the challenge is what makes it marvellous.
