When do you finish work/school for Christmas?

My last day is on the 20th Dec, and the office is closed until 6th Jan, so I'm lucky on that count.

But I don't get paid for the time off, so I'm unlucky on that count.

But it doesn't count as any of my personal holiday days, so I'm lucky on that count.

In the six years I've worked at the mall, this is the first time I didn't ask for Christmas Eve off (which is my grandma's birthday and my family honestly makes this day a much bigger deal with the whole family than the actual Christmas day). Funnily enough, this is the first time in six years they've actually given me Christmas Eve off.

So, I'll not be working Christmas Eve and Christmas day, and that's it.

Our offices are closed December 24th, December 25th, December 31st and January 1st. If you want more time off than that you have to burn vacation.

It's not compulsory leave? You lucky bugger. I have to take 3 days holiday!

I finish work on Christmas Eve, then join an unbearably packed train to see the rest of the family for gift giving festivities.

I have a paid vacation from the 25th to the 1st my first paid vacation ever!

Good thing we close on christmas eve on 5pm and then have 25th and 26th off and because we simply dont have enough work after christmas, I dont have to work much until the new year. One afternoon i think

My boyfriend informed me yesterday, as he turned off his alarm and rolled over groggily, that he has decided that 'I'm starting my Christmas vacation now. I'll go back to work like....the 6th of the new year. Yeah."

So now that's what is happening. I'm not complaining! I start school in January so I'm really happy we'll get to spend a ton of time with one another until then but it makes me extremely envious that he has a job where he can do that.

I'm the low man on the totem poll at my office and I live locally, so I was not able to use any vacation time this year. But I do have the state holidays off, so I'm off the 24-25th, and 31-1st. I also got a colleague to cover for me over the 30th, so I at least have a long weekend.

It doesn't even really feel like Christmas yet because I've been so busy with work. I still need to finish up my Christmas shopping.

I am currently having a vacation.

I'm a student without a part time job, but i may plan to work on 1st January to count objects in a store,
I plan to work in summer though, i usually work every summer
19th december started my vacation. So far i am really enjoying it, just relaxing ^^
I love vacations.

College break is mid-December to mid-January so I have a month off from school.

I have two weeks off of work this month between switching jobs so that's pretty awesome too.

I opted to work up to and including Christmas Eve, because I'm a crazy person. I don't go back until the 6th January or something after that, so it's all good in the end.

Turns out that I didn't get the 2nd January off because I am a tit, but did get the 3rd off. Opted to just go back to work from the 2nd onwards. Yay one day extra leave. Well, technically two because I also get a day in lieu for working a bank holiday.
