    Default From Dusk till Dawn

Has anyone ever seen this? It's basically George Clooney versus vampires, before a few years ago I didn't know such an invention existed. Originally came out in January of 1996 so I'm guessing this was before he became big? Because... it kinda has that B movie feel about it and I can't imagine him doing it if he was a big name at the time.

It's a Robert Rodriguez film written by Quentin Tarantino, which should tell you everything you need to know about it.

George Clooney was already famous by then, but it was as a TV actor, not a movie star.

I don't know who any of those people are. *Googles their films* Ohh, I see what you're driving at.

I forgot George got his start on ER. And now I know the answer for every time I always asked, "Where have I seen this woman before?" when Maura Tierney appears on my television screen.

You don't know who Quentin Tarantino is? I can understand Robert Rodriguez if you aren't the kind of person who watches a lot of movies, but QT is basically a household name, like Steven Spielberg or something.

I have the movie on DVD, Tarantino is as crazy in his movie as the movie itself.

    I like it.

And I like Salma Hayek dancing.

I'm bad with names. Sure I saw his face before somewhere.

I kind of love this movie. The whole way through it's this intense thriller, and then at the end they're just "PSYCH! VAMPIRES! PENIS GUN!" and it just goes to trout.

    Awesome stuff.

This movie is great. It's a little hokey at times, but I also kindof love it. I am a fan of any Tarantino/Rodriguez combo. And Juliette Lewis is a babe, as always.

Isn't there a second one? I haven't seen the second one.

There were a second and third one, actually. Texas Blood Money and The Hangman's Daughter. There's even a video game.

Looked them both up and yeah, have essentially no interest whatsoever.

That sums up most direct-to-video sequels.

Clearly the highlight of the film.

I was a bit miffed actually when the vampires made their appearance. Up until that point is was actually a really good film. It just seemed to switch to a daft B Movie halfway through.

That being said it's still a pretty fun watch.
