    oh, ok sorry.
I just so commonly see stuff like that on other forums and the people there are actually being genuine.

Luckily, I have come to accept the gameplay as it's been displayed. What just bothers me the most is the fact that they changed Garrett's voice from Stephen Russell to some young dude for an incredibly stupid reason, and the possibility that they removed the good old Thief lore in exchange for brothels and beggars and barons (oh my!)

Well, the stealth aspects of this game is well done!

Though You are stealing a lot of stupid trout, like dinner forks, flasks, and picking up single coins. I don't feel like a theif so much as a very talented Klepto.

The environments are all great looking and what not.

The lore definately has a lot of interest about it, but the writing itself falls pretty flat so far.

Also, there really isn't anything to do other then be a klepto.

So far I give this game a 6/10, fun, but nothing special.

Everyone has agreed that the stealth elements are the best. I also hear it's take a good while for the story to get started.

10 - 12 hours, to be more specific.

Y'know, I was getting ready to sass the hell out of this thread because I was expecting more nerd rage from you. I am somehow both quite impressed and disappointed with all of you.

A friend of mine had pre-ordered the game, I believe he wanted to record me running around in the thief world for youtube's sake, but I dunno when that's going down.

Heard very mixed things from the people on my twitter feed. I feel like one of the most poignant comments was the fact that Gareth (right?) talks about how he steals everything he needs briefly before introducing a currency system so he can buy equipment. That is a terrible paraphrase but yeah there's some LUDO NARRATIVE DISSONANCE (buzzword) going on there.

They see me rolling. They hating, patrolling.
Trying to catch me riding dirty.

I don't see the dissonance actually.

He buys supplies from the people you work from, and you can only afford steal so much trout from them before they start suspecting you and coming after your ass. You don't steal from the guy who supplies the underground with vital supplies, especially when you don't kill like Gareth.

I"m much more bothered by being a thief who goes after these artifacts and high valued items spending my time stealing loose change and forks.

Those forks could be worth something some day. Just give it a hundred years or so.

I've heard it's kind of like a Dishonored/Thief hybrid in regards to both gameplay and story elements. Can you give an opinion on that? If that's true it'd be a pretty big turnoff for me. :aimmeh:

Never played dishonored or the original thief games.

What I can say, is it's hard to give a smurf about Gareth.

"Oh, you mean I've been in a coma after living through an explosion of occult magic? Don't give a smurf, imma steal trout."

He's the epitome of too cool for emotions.
