I heard that his reasons for taking it down were "it's ruining my life" (I think that's the exact quote I heard on the radio).
From the earlier discussion about it, I was just figuring that he had played it. That seemed to be the standard reaction.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.
He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.
He recently came out saying he took it down because it encouraged addictive and abusive personalities when playing it. He seems to have a fairly sound game design philosophy, and he just couldn't live with himself to have a game like that out in the public.
I'm not sure if that's the exact reason, but that's what he's said and that's the only reason we'll every get.
Although I do feel bad for the guy getting so many death threats for taking it down. Some people really need a to get a grasp on reality.
