one more primal bonfire at iron keep
i go in there to fight the 'old king' and he one shots me/i fall in the lava
kind of an awkward fight
should i just not target him?

22 gold medals for helping with bosses!

but tonight i think ill boot up demon's souls and continue my quest to platinum
it is probably the hardest of the three to platinum because of stupid world affinities

The Old King gets easier the more you fight him. He telegraphs his moves fairly easily and is therefor one of the better designed bosses. Be sure to use the available terrain to the maximum and always reposition yourself. Go for light armor so you can fast-roll. He scares me when he goes for the long range options, but other than that he's not too bad : )

So does anyone else hear muffled drums in black gulch sometimes? Particular ly in the hidden bonfire

Might be nearby monsters, the piggies freaked me out by the big book in majula til I figured out what they weree

Anyway I did it, took 1\4 of health down with arrows then greatsworded the rest of them

The Chariot is one of my favourite bosses and it's one of the few moments that really got me on the edge of my seat for the entire fight. The way to the boss however is very poorly designed imo. Did you know the boss has a hidden death sequence?

(SPOILER)if you go long range and never close the gate the chariot will become too weak to clear the jump at about 20% health. You can find it hanging onto the ledge, waiting for you to knock it down the pit.

So, isnt there apparently some DLC coming out for this game soon?
I need a reason to put this disk back into my ps3 after a few months of it taking up space and that might be what does it.

It has arrived....

Gonna be running a Dex/Faith build, but apart from that, I have absolutely no idea about anything. Any recommendations for weapons and such?

dex/fth you're looking at one of them fancy schmancy special swords that build on those stats
like sun sword
but you dont get that forever
there's a nice starting sword at the bottom of a valley/castle side in forest of the fallen giants, in a little cave with a fire breathing lizard trying to snipe you

I'm about to enter Heide's with a Winged Spear +3. I think I'll end up rocking the Partizan, since I loved that weapon for PvE in Dark Souls and I imagine it'll still be awesome here.
