    Something I could do to help the time go by faster, whether we end up showing the cards or not, is to make it an 18 hour turn. If someone doesn't respond within 18 hours, we move on. It seems like some are just less enthused to play. If that's the case, they can always say they want to stop or even accuse like proto did and hope they win or something.

    I am fine showing the cards if needed. At the rate this game is going, I do think it's probably best to show the cards I had. However, shion is in control of how things go and she opted that they stay hidden. I made my accusation early for a couple reasons, and one is that I wanted to stop playing (and hopefully win) but I made an incorrect accusation and lost my turns. Second, this game will pick up a little bit with one less player out of the game.

    That would work. While I agree on the 36 hours period for turns in theory, it is slowing down the progress for the game. I'm still interested what other people have to say about the card reveal for disqualified players, but its currently 2-1 in favour of not showing the card.

    I've nothing against showing the cards except for the fact I'm supposed to follow the rules. That's why I would like input from other players, because if that's what you guys want, that is what we will do! Nothing against your idea.

    Despite seeing one card on every turn so far, I still feel like I am several turns away from making an accusation. At our current pace I feel that the game could run well into May. We still have the information that at least one of the cards he accused is incorrect.
    As I said, I estimate (1) we're halfway through, so another 4 turns seems normal to me. Considering it took 10 days and there's only a week left until may, then the game reaching may is not a stretch.

    Endless, Would you mind summing up your argument for not showing the cards of the disqualified players? We'll let the other players decide what their thoughts are.
    Mostly I feel it strays from the original game and benefits more players who are behind in the deductions, whereas well-equipped (or hardcore (1)) players already have a good grasp on Proto's cards and gain little. And even then, the amount of info you'd gain is at best <10% of the total information if it were the first turn with no suggestion made ever. Here, you shouldn't be getting much more than 5% info. All in all, it removes a bit of the "fun" of the game, which is to combine accumulated information others may not have. But if people want them to be seen, so be it, it'll be that much more info added to my knowledge


    (1) Cluedo at first glance is a pure deduction game; in our configuration, there are exactly 300 trits of information : for each pair (player (including secret file), card) you can have the card here (Y) or not_here (N) or maybe_here (-). At this point of the game, regardless of your hand, you should have at least 154 "N", 4 "Y" and the rest as "-" plus your own cards, which means a little over half of the information is known already (hence my "halfway done"). If you don't, read below.

    For the sake of education (hey, it's my job), here are the initial logic rules of Cluedo in our configuration:
    1) Each player has exactly three cards
    2) Each card is in exactly one place
    3) The secret file has exactly one card of each category

    And now deductions:
    - You know where your own cards are. (duh)
    - When a suggestion is made, knowing who refutes gives you information both about who may have the cards, but possibly more importantly, who doesn't.
    - When a player shows you a card to refute, you know where it is (and because of 2), you know where it isn't).
    - When no one refutes, it tells you where the cards may be: each card is in the secret file or the suggester's hand, and nowhere else.
    - When someone accuses and is wrong, you know at least one of the cards is not on the secret file.

    Cluedo has more depth if you play it expecting people to deduce well, that way it's not just about getting info, it's also about revealing as little as possible by knowing what cards to call so that it doesn't go farther than you want, and knowing when you should call your own card or not.

    And when the game is over, I'll show you a turn by turn evolution of the knowledge I had.

    My standard game of cluedo was that when a player accused incorrectly, their cards were distributed to the remaining players. This was mostly to prevent the players whom had been disqualified from having to hang around when the game is over, cause that's no fun.

    Based on my current information, I know minimum 14/30 cards, maximum 21/30 that Auron does not have. Endless must be some sort of Cluedo God if he has an idea of his cards at this point. Either that or he knows information on cards related to suggestions 7 and 8 which are the only 2 Auron revealed.

    Using pure logic, I know 18/30 he does not have. Using other methods however, I know the three most likely to be his with enough confidence that I'm willing to suggest around them to not waste my guesses on them.
