Really, people should be looking to start confirming whether they'll be joining the meet-up so we can get a solid date and get this moving forward.
june 2016 is too far away to look at flights, but jan's looking mighty affordable so here's hoping
like 5 months extra is extra "see what/if i can manage" time which is good
also we should coordinate arrivals so we can convince some unlucky local to spend a day at the airport waiting for us so we can get a lift, smurf navigating london after a 20 hour transit, seriously
How many days do you plan this to extend over? A weekend?
For a weekend affair then I would suspect that using a hotel, with a conference/venue hiring facility coupled in with accomodation for all attendants. The second day could be spent enjoying the company of each other in London. I'd suggest perhaps planning a picnic in Kensington Gardens (The Kensington Garden Festival! Oooh, cheeky) for something equivocal for lunch together. Go to a couple of main tourist areas in London together, geek out, picture taking, bonding (not bondage) experiences. An evening meal at a restaurant as a party reservation, night time walkings, drinking establishments, pubs, clubs, anything you desire. Back to the hotel, chat in rooms with your now real life friends!
Or you can hope that Nobuo Uematsu plans a Distant Worlds concert EXACTLY on the date that everyone is meeting up. =P Wishful thinking, but it could happen!
Oh...I guess this would be a good time to say that I will be attending.
I would play music at such an event if someone could make sure to cart me back to a hotel for a night afterward and get me back to wherever I came from. I know many songs and will be perfectly happy to drink a soda with sugar for the entire evening.
Other than that I require only your tolerance of my ugly face while I stare silently at my phone between sets. Win/win.

You could, in theory, hire out a large short-stay apartment if the numbers are barely double digits. Example!
I imagine that will be a back-up sort of thing.
