The YouTube Thread - We need your help!

We've been working our heinies off trying to come up with ideas for our YouTube. As a site, we are really trying to push for content here as we think it's an opportunity to reach out to a fanbase untapped by EoFF.

Below are some ideas we have for FF content to go on our YouTube page. Do you have any skills with editing? Do you want to lend your voice to create some projects with us? Are you interested in just recording yourself playing and commenting on it, or doing how-to videos? We would love for you to share anything you have to offer. If you are interested in doing any of these things, hop on it and send it our way! As long as it's FF, KH or SE-based, anything goes! (don't quote me on that)

• A Letter to... (Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yoshitaka Amano, Nobuo Uematsu, Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa) - what would you say to these people?

• FF Music Videos - The thing that comes to mind when I suggest this is the "Can't hug every cat" video. Take an FF FMV and add a bunch of beats and sound to it! (Tidus comes to mind for this working perfectly, I don't know why).

• Mini games strategies - Triple Triad, Tetra Master, Chocobo Hot and Cold, Chocobo Breeding, etc
• Mock News Cast
• Pet videos - dress your damn animals up as FF creatures! Put a moogle hat on your cat and just film it! People love that stuff!
• Radio Skits with FF Characters - Write out a script, have different members each do a character voice, voila!
• Reviews

What is article narration?

I sadly know nothing about video editing, but I can lend my voice for acting and stuff. I can also record myself playing some FF games, although I'm not sure how I could edit out the boring parts, but I could just do some simple video Let's Plays.

Take an article on the frontsite and then record yourself reading it, and then images or video footage relevant to it can be fitted in. This would be more along the lines of the features rather than news.

This thread is to basically put the ball in your court. If you want to collaborate with people on these projects or come up with your own (please do this!) we want to see them!

Record yourself reading an article, find some images to go with it and I'll video you up! Or Shiny will, she's pretty damned handy with this stuff too.

Oh, also! FMV Music Videos, too! I know in the past we've had some folks who like to edit FMV scenes into a song that they feel fits the game well, so those are welcome, too!

If I knew how to video edit, sure. As it stands now, I have no idea how to do any sort of video recording or capturing. I mean, how do people do those video Let's Plays in the first place?

I use Fraps and Adobe Premiere CS2. Either way, it doesn't matter if that's not your strength - ideas, writing and audio recording are all important too.
