Ever stuck with a series despite not liking it anymore?

What I mean is, have you ever watched or read a series you really loved but over time it just started to make more and more bad choices or killed off a character you absolutely loved, or just kind of felt like it started to repeat itself too often but you kept on checking each new installment cause you felt you invested too much time not to see it to completion?

I make a point of finishing up every TV show/movie that I start watching regardless of how terrible it gets. I just can't bring myself to stop watching, especially if I'm three seasons in before it starts to suck.

I usually won't finish something I don't like. There's so many other things I could be playing and watching that I would enjoy.

If i'm 2 seasons into a show, I'm not gonna watch for the next 6 years just to see how it ends. However, if I'm 7 seasons into a show and like it, but the 8th and final season is kinda sketchy, I'll probably see it through.

This is how I am with Star Trek lately...I actually only stopped watching it during the 3rd season of Enterprise, but I've seen both of the new movies and thought they were pretty dang good. New hope for the series? Maybe...

Dexter. After season four, it was all downhill. The Tom Hanks, Jr. season had so much potential and it just shattered me with how disappointing it was.

The only example I can really think of is The Office. I watched every single episode despite the show being pretty bad for a number of seasons. I eventually want to sit down and finish watching Heroes despite it getting a bit bad.

The closest thing I can think of is the Office (U.S.). While I never thought the show was bad, the Holly & Andy as the boss eras were tough. Will Ferrell's bit was incredibly disappointing. Dwight should've been made boss right after Michael left. The last few episodes w/ him in charge was only a glimpse of what should've been.

I gave up on the U.S. version of The Office after Steve Carrell bounced, tho IMO , it started going downhill after Jim & Pam got married and had the baby.

How I Met Your Mother I followed through to the end, though I didn't start watching it until it started coming on the CW with Big Bang Theory in the afternoons. And then I think I started watching new episodes during season 6 ish or so. But goddamn that ending pissed me off and the whole last season pretty well sucked major ass.
