He is clearly the coolest (though also crude, according to the song) of the four.
The other three have more obvious flaws.
Michaelangelo is a party dude - Clearly he doesn't take his role as a crime fighter seriously
Leonardo leads - He clearly doesn't though. He was beaten to the job by a mutated rat.
Donatello "does machines" - God knows what kind of machines he has sex with but shame on all you sick smurfs who voted for him.

I've always had a hard time picking, but for some reason Raphael just appeals to me. I'm surprised to see him in the lead though because everyone I know would pick Donatello, including my husband.
It's interesting because I've heard a few people mention that, and I'm more used to people forgetting Donatello and Michelangelo. I'm actually surprised Donatello is tied with the others. Poor guy.Originally Posted by Shlup

Which character would you select, is the basic question here.
Now, there isn't a whole lot of difference between the characters in this game...Raphael is the only one with the flip kick, the rest have the jump and slash. In the NES version, he has the jump and slash move instead.
But who do you pick? But then, we could extend that to include all the games, of which there are too many to list.
I always just liked Raphael cuz he's the baddest ass. You don't mess with Raph.
Donatello because I've always rooted for the underdog. EVERYONE else has TWO thingos (although Michaelangelo's thingos were chained together) but he only has one thingo.

I did also like him because he's the brainy, less violent one. I guess the bo staff lends itself to that.
The irony of the bo staff is that instead of killing his enemies quickly through severe blood loss, he has to beat them to death and rely on good old blunt force trauma to do the job.
Donatello is the smartest and loves technology. I also did really well with him and his weapon in the SNES and arcade TMNT game. Not sure why people are choosing Raph as that is probably the worse choice.
