Huge staffing news for you this week, as a bunch of new members hear the call and are added to our fantastic staff team! Elsewhere, there has been a surge of FFXIV news, including fan festivals and same-sex marriages!

The Rainbow Chocobos

The biggest news this week is indeed the staff changes. Aulayna, fire_of_avalon, Dr. Unne and Shorty are stepping down from their roles of Editor/Developer, Cid's Knight, Developer and Social Media Manager, respectively. This is really sad news, but in their place are some competent members! Quin and Scotty_ffgamer are now Cid's Knights, Colonel Angus and Lone Wolf Leonhart are our new editors, shion and Dat Matt are social media managers, and Lonely Paper Star will be joining staff in the new position of chat operator, together with Rantz, Shauna and o_O. If you're still confused, be sure to consult the announcement thread!
XIV fan festivals are popping up in three locations during the autumn and winter: Las Vegas, London and Tokyo! These events will be full of giveaways, contests, Q&A sessions and more. Check the thread for more details on these exciting festivals!
The pink Chocobo is perfect for this next piece of news! Same-sex marriages are now legal in Eorzea! To celebrate the news, a virtual pride parade was hosted on the Gilgamesh server! See videos and more information in our thread!
The Art Showcase is now entering it's 82nd installment! Featuring this week is a fantastic portrait of Edea and a beautiful digital rendition of Lightning.
EoFF Fantasy Football is back up for the new season of Football! That's American Football. Not soccer. But if you enjoy shouting at "that stupid player who didn't make that easy pass" or whatever sports commentators say during NFL matches, then this is the event for you!
The Marvel B-Franchise 'Guardians of the Galaxy' has quite the EoFF fanbase, and from what they say, it seems pretty good! Discuss the latest superhero flick here!
Forums can be so wordy can't they? The medium is pretty much made for sentences and paragraphs, but sometimes we want pictures dammit! If that's you, then swing by the picture thread of many names and post pictures of yourself, your cat, or you and your cat on the beach. Who am I to judge?

Laguna is an important character in FFVIII's story, but would you want him to feature in his own spin-off? How about a SimCity spin-off having Laguna run Esthar?

Saturday saw the birthday of one of our most esteemed former editors and developers, Aulayna! Go wish her a fantastic birthday if you haven't already, and chuck in a Tangled reference, if you can.
And that's the only birthday, meaning there's space for some new arrivals! Noire is one such recent arrival, so go wish him a happy EoFF experience!
Another new member is botnslave, so go introduce yourself to him!
