God, I love that sound. Are you ready to take a trip with me down memory lane as we review the best the Sony PlayStation has to offer; from platformers, to RPGs, to racing, to action, and all points in-between, the PlayStation had it all! And to make things interesting we're only going to have one game per series. One Crash Bandicoot, one Tomb Raider, one Resident Evil, and only one Final Fantasy, so take your bets. What are we going to see? What's going to be left out? How well do you know me? It's time -- WOOOOOOOO! For the--
Cmon now don't be sad, I enjoy reading the lists. I can like something and still mock it, right?
This list in particular should be interesting because the PS1 is very dear to me. And also because it had some weird games that came about when everyone was still trying to figure out 3D.
At number 30 we have a game that may come as a surprise to some of you. In a land where video games based off of movies and TV shows usually fall flat, this little gem manages to stay true to its origins while providing an overall enjoyable gaming experience. You may not have played the game, but chances are you're familiar with the source material.
#30 Rugrats: Search For Reptar
Follow Tommy, Chucky, Phil and Lil as they search for Tommy's missing Reptar puzzle. The game has several different stages based off the episodes and a couple of things just for the game, and of course the cast of the Nickelodeon classic all return to reprise their roles. Race Angelica over some cookies, play hide and seek with Chucky, have a circus, reek havoc as Tommy at the grocery store, and guide Chucky through the toy store as monsters come to life at every turn. You can even play as Reptar himself. I loved the Rugrats as a kid and as such spent HOURS playing this game day and night until the day I finally beat it, and I could replay it even now. If you're a fan of the Rugrats then this is the game for you. Welcome to #30, guys.
I did indeed play this game, though I don't remember it very well. It was one of those rentals that i think I didn't have much time to play in the end. I remember liking it though.
