Limit Breaks

So, as I've played this game on and off, I've never used (nor seen anyone use) the limit breaks. I main as a White Mage, so I assume my using the limit break would probably just be in the case of everything has gone to hell. I don't know if I'll ever get to the high level content, but do the limit breaks serve much purpose in the game? When should they be used? Do you like the mechanic?

As far as I can tell, only certain DPS are encouraged to use the LB, specifically the ones with damage dealing LB.

As a Paladin, I've used my LB once and it was useless.

Yeah 99% of the time you only wanna use one of the two DPS limit breaks and they are pretty important for maximizing the party's DPS output. Occasionally in the end game if you mess up bad you'll use the tier 3 healer limit break that revives the entire party and puts them at full health. Tank LB is pretty much never used except in a couple of specific situations like early spiny kill in Garuda Ex. Basically Healer/Tank LBs are only used if you dun goofed.
