Default What anime series should I watch next?

I'm finishing with the 2003 version of Fullmetal Alchemist and want a bit of a break from it before I watch the Brotherhood version. So now I'm looking for another anime to watch! I'm actually rather new to the anime scene outside of DBZ/Pokémon, so I've been diving into it this year.

So far I've watched (and enjoyed every one of...):

    Attack on Titan
    Btooom!
    Fullmetal Alchemist
    Gangsta
    Nisekoi
    Planetes
    Toradora

And a whole lot of Pokémon and DBZ. Can't remember if I've seen all of DBZ or not...

I've been really enjoying it all so far, though, despite the mixture of genres.

I'm currently weighing up the following...

    Bleach
    Clannad
    Elfen Lied
    No Game No Life
    Steins;Gate

Decisions, decisions. Preferring "complete" stories if possible. I've no idea if the above are complete or not though, to be honest. x_x

I've dabbled in both. Sometimes both at once! In the case of FMA 2003 the subs were different to the dubs and it annoyed me to no end.

    Steins;Gate is pretty fantastic.

If you want something more down-to-earth, Kids on the Slope is pretty amazing. I also think the Tatami Galxy is great to watch, but you need to focus a bit. Both are quite short and with self-contained stories

The Answer is One Punch Man. Viz is streaming the Sub of the episodes, and the last episode of the first season is almost out. It is amazing.

Haven't seen Bleach or NGNL. Elfen Lied is pretty hard to say if you'd end up liking it or disliking it, so I'll abstain. Of the other ones, CLANNAD is a great choice if you happen to be looking for more of something like Toradora. Just remember that it has a second season which is usually the one people never shut up about (and for good reasons). Steins;Gate is simply great and enjoyable through and through.

Seconded. One Punch Man is damn good. It's not complete (and won't be for ages), but what is there is certainly worth giving a watch.

Also, Baccano! and Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. The former is a pretty awesome and fun ride, the latter... well, the less you know about it going into it the better. But it's definitely a top tier anime.

I've seen the first episode of Elfen Lied and it interested me a lot. Clannad was the opposite, but everything I hear about it says it picks up as things move forward and I'd like to watch it before watching the second series.

You want to watch Good Luck Girl and Haganai. Both are available in English Dubs, and they're actually quite good. Smurfing hilarious.

You should watch everything you can from the Dragon Ball Franchise. Not just Z.

    Of those I really like:

    CLANNAD
    No Game No Life
    Steins;Gate

If you want something romantic and funny - CLANNAD.
If you want something fun and clever (but a bit overly fanservicey) - No Game no Life
If you want something dramatic with a more complex story - Steins;Gate

All of the above have really enjoyable characters.

If you want something with about 6 million episodes per arc - Bleach.

Knights of Sidonia is pretty cool. It's on Netflix. It's up to two seasons now.

You should also try Scrapped Princess. It's a long time since I watched it, but I remember it to be great. Might just have been because I was young and impressionable, though. It was rated as one of the best shows of the year when it came out, along with Last Exile.

I'll second Baccano! The dub is actually excellent.
