And if you screw up recruiting Yuffie, the DLC deletes itself from your PS4 and you have to re-buy it.

I honestly don't care how much I end up shelling out for it. I'll be buying everything and so will everyone else.
Square Enix know this so that picture might actually be quite accurate.
Depending how they do it, I would imagine the first episode will be something like 59.99 with several Collector's Editions pushing it into the 80-100 dollar range but will be a physical copy of the game. All subsequent episodes will be a bit shorter, download only, and cost about $29.99. DLC will vary, but I imagine it will be relegated to alternate costumes, the ability to listen to the original version of the OST, and probably some noob friendly stuff like Gil/XP dungeons. I doubt they will do any story content style DLC until the game is finished at which point they may have a few detailing some kind of mini-interequel that ties into Advent Children/Compilation.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I just hope they don't use the When They Cry pricing where each new episode is full price ($60-70?) at launch but the later episodes include all the episodes that came before it. I don't think I could force myself to wait until it's all out.
Honestly I'm planning on getting a PS4 specifically for this and KH, but if the pricing is anything like this I may just pass. I've paid for FF7 twice already, just give it to me at a reasonable price.
I honestly wonder if they will still do the episodic thing after the backlash they received. Can see them annoucning something at the E3 with an updated trailer, they've tried it with Hitman and I don't think it's done terribly well.
There are just still way too many customers that don't have their PS4's / XBOX ONE's hooked up to the internet (it's still well over 50% last I read.)
I mean I know they can still do boxed releases of the episodes as well, messaging/advertising that is so hard tho. It is alright if it's like a Telltale game where they sell the boxed release once it's all finished with all the episodes. But selling people the first ep in a box and then asking them to download the rest? I still have friends who don't know what DLC means. And they have tons of PS4 games.
Seven episodes at $15.99 a piece. "Complete" edition when all is said and done for $70.
According to the latest GameInformer issue, Kitase confirmed that it would be a trilogy similar to the XIII saga where each entry is a complete game (30+ hours per game according to him).
The question is, will we have to wait two years for each new entry like we did with XIII? They said they want the development time for it to be much shorter than that of XV.
I guess each entry will also be the price of a full game.
^That article was a nightmare. It confirmed that the game will most likely be selling for $180 total. It also confirmed that Square is going to change the story as they see fit. What garbage.
If I liked FFVII as much as some of you, I'd be flipping out right now.

Yeah, if anything those prices in the image are low! Other than 'save Aeris for $20', I would not be surprised if this satirical image becomes a reality. Pay for Gold Saucer/Yuffie/Vincent is entirely within SE's wheelhouse.

Yuffie and Vincent won't be DLC, there would be so much fan outrage otherwise.
