I don't really go in to chat very much anymore. I pop in from time to time and it's usually not active when I go. I don't know if I just show up during the lulls, or if chat just isn't as active anymore. Either way, I do feel kind of sad.

A few years ago, I was one of the most active people in chat. It really helped me feel more welcome on this forum and it helped me form bonds with many of the members here. I hardly ever talk to some of those members now, and it makes me miss those times a little bit. I felt so welcome in there, I felt like I had a place I belonged to. Sharky and I really got to know each other through late nights in chat, and my life has changed for the better because of it.

Not just for me, but for everyone, I do hope that chat still provides the great community and welcoming atmosphere it once did. I hope others find friends and a place to belong through that chat button on the top of the forum. And I thank all of the best chatter nominees for helping make chat what it is.
