Final Fantasy X / X-2 of course. It's story is probably the most unique, though voice acting terrible.

It's a unicode character for x mark. Wikipedia Alt - x should work most of the time on editors but you might have to edit some registry / add some registry values.

FFX/X-2 is a good choice (not that there is a bad one) and you'll have plenty here who agree
