Our main characters (which don't appear to include Snake himself) get sucked into an alternate dimension and proceed to play Left 4 Dead or Day Z until they get back home due to arbitrary plot.
How or why is this a Metal Gear game?

Konami announced a new Metal Gear title at Gamescon. It will be a four player co-op game set in the events after MGSround Zeroes and tells how the few survivors of the Big Boss' merc group were magically transported into an alternate reality that is overrun with zombies. I am not even kidding.

This is one of the stupidest ideas to ever come out of Konami. And that is saying something.
Even if it looked good you couldn't pay me to give Konami my money these days.
I could always be wrong, but yeah this looks pretty troute. Konami said "Y'know let's not worry about the convoluted, ridiculous MGS story at this point. Let's focus on making it more stupid, with generic zombie-shooter gameplay!"
You know what those thundering footsteps at the end are, right?

They were already in the ocean to be honest. This is them slowly drowning.
Every time I think Konami can't outdo itself in the worst way possible they prove me wrong.
Sitting back watching their antics has become far more entertaining than their games.
So... Resident Evil became the new Silent Hill and now Metal Gear will become the new Resident Evil. Does this mean we'll get a reboot of Fear Effect which will become the new Metal Gear?
