As long as it's interesting and enjoyable to read (and results in some good food porn) I think most people would be up for having a look at it. As long as you're passionate about what you're doing, it'll come through in the writing.

But, I think it's actually more important to do what you want to do, especially if it's something you want it to be something you keep up with and actually keep doing. That's what usually puts a halt to any continuous project - when the runner loses interest. Work out a plan and start doing it, and then take suggestions from there.
