Everyone has a warm heart since it is an organ and is required to be warm in order to be functional. It circulates blood, it occasionally gets clogged. It doesn't speak, however. It doesn't have tiny little lips on it. The heart is an organ.

To call someone 'warm-hearted' means more than the scientific. It means that you are kind and sympathetic, and that to be warm-hearted and described as being so means that above all else you are kind.

You should be proud of this. If you're nominated for this award, you're doing something right. Stand out for being kind, and tolerant, and patient, and for loving. And do it unapologetically. Wear your heart on your sleeve for all to see.

It beats being cold.
