Always sword, for me. And I always drop magic because I usually forget that function even exists, for worse or worse.

I chose Sword the first time around, but opted for Shield ever since because I learned you get some of the best Support Skills like Second Chance and Leaf Bracer really early in the game if you go the Shield route. I almost always forsake the Wand.
In my current playthrough on KH1 Final Mix I went with Wand and forsake the sword to try something different. It's been interesting to say the least, largely because a bunch of my standby melee options like Guard, Vortex, and Blitz are not going to appear until near the end of the game for me.

I think I did both sword and magic. Not sure if I ever rejected the shield. Might have though.
Also pretty shocked that people remember. I don't even think it tells you what you picked anywhere in-game so I'd probably have trouble even remembering during a playthrough, much less years later. I do vaguely remember wanting to try a magic approach once and an attack approach another time, but to be honest I might have even chosen a shield as main once.

Kept the shield and threw the sword away. Tank mage for the win. I treat this game like Sora's by himself. Cause let's be honest, Donald and Goofy are there to absorb hits and help summon Tinkerbell. And I like giving Sora as much survivability especially in the early game before he learns Cure.
I always pick the shield, which of the other two i drop varies.
Went for the sword and threw magic away first couple of times- but later playthroughs I went for the shield and then threw away magic.
I like to get Lucky Strike as early as possible so I always choose the Shield and give up the Sword. My first time, I didn't know any better and picked up the sword and dropped the wand. I got a lot of battle skills early but Donald and Goofy were severely under-equipped thanks to that decision.
