It was partly because of my wife, actually. She noted that it was a little uncomfortable about how angry football would make me. I would never have taken it out on her, of course, but stepping back and looking at it from her shoes, it must have seemed very irrational. So yeah, right then and there I decided I wouldn't watch it any more. During the first season away I'd find myself sneaking peeks at the results online, but by now, I don't ever even think of it.
