Honestly, I could see Rinoa getting sick of Squall's attitude at some point.
I mean technically Tidus and Yuna are broken up.
I can see Locke and Celes breaking up considering they have nothing really in common.
Cloud and Tifa are both in a dysfunctional codependent relationship.
I can see Squall and Rinoa having a troubled relationship, but I also feel they work for each other if that makes any sense.
I can definitely see Garnet and Zidane breaking up after she keeps catching him ogling the Alexandrian guards. I bet the whole army will have a sexual harassment lawsuit against him.
I feel Cecil and Rosa are the only couple with a functional relationship.

Edward And Anna (Final Fantasy IV)
Final Fantasy IV, or II as old school North American gamers will know it by, has a slew of romances, but one of the weaker ones has to be the entanglement between Edward and Anna.
It is introduced very early in the story, and wrapped up shortly thereafter, but it really leaves one wondering why Anna would fall for Edward in the first place.
There is no intention to judge Anna's taste, as there are different strokes for different folks, and there is nothing wrong with liking the sensitive type. However, Edward is not the brightest fish in the sea and, overall, he's such a "spoony bard."
Though Anna's father eventually comes around to liking him, it is completely understandable why Tellah initially disapproves of him.

oof
If she doesn't divorce him after that...
I'm pretty sure Serah and Snow wouldn't work post-Lightning Returns because they changed a lot, especially Serah, who became a fighter, too, and not a little girl who needs a hero.
And probably also Zidane and Garnet because Zidane probably still flirts too much.
I mean, he is the king. He can get away with being a dick every once in awhile.

Not like she didn't prove she could verbally bitch slap him for being a misogynistic jerk in the main game anyway.

I think Zidane and Garnet could work out if being a monarch doesn't get in the way. Locke and Celes are for sure breaking up. Tidus and Yuna too. Yuna isn't ready to settle down.
I think Square will never let Sephiroth and Cloud to break up.
Rinoa and Squall have a pretty good thing going on in my opinion. She has a pretty good read on his personality from the beginning and accepts his weaknesses early on - I don't *think* his emoness will cause friction. He also seems stronger at the end. I wish them a quiet and safe life in Windhill or similar.
Zidane and Garnet I'm less sure of. They have a very strong bond but I imagine Garnet's crew are going to be spending a lot of time keeping him out of the papers for his various hi-jinks. She's going to have all kinds of official engagements that he probably won't have any time for. He'll be in that pub where he met Freya trying to slum it and being pestered by paparazzi. Public life is a tough life.
Quina and Vivi remain happily married to this day.*
* (SPOILER) yes i know. i know. but i prefer to think that what we all know happened in the epilogue didnt happen, let me have this
Rinoa and Squall are teenagers. They might make an okay couple, but they're breaking up for sure.
If I rmb correctly, according to official sources, Tidus and Yuna are done.
I hope she finds happiness with Kimahri or something.
And Tidus can screw a blitzball.
