True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Rose Guns Days
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Hmm, those three are pretty easily placed, but a number of candidates could round out the list. To aru Majutsu no Index, .hack//G.U., Final Fantasy X, Odin Sphere, the Rance series, Date a Live, Rewrite... I don't know. Too hard to pick.
Well, I can definitely name my two favorite stories; Stormlight Archive and Legend of Heroes: Trails.
Beyond that, though, it's extremely hard for me to single out three stories that I definitely love more than others.
Mistborn (If we are to consider all of it, including Wax & Wayne) is a top contender for sure. Possibly The Expanse. Malazan Book of the Fallen has the potential as well.
But yeah, those first two are the only ones I could say for sure.
Oh damn, this is a good one.
Tiger! Tiger! by Alfred Bester takes #1. It's scifi Count of Monte Cristo and very good, but largely holds a deep nostalgia for me. I have my dad's copy from 1955, and it's been with me to almost every country I've gone.
The Man From Earth is my favourite film. A story about a bunch of people having a chat about human longevity and then the film ends. It's wonderful and I watch it often.
I'll have to have a proper think over the rest.
In no particular order:
The Godfather Parts I & II
Star Wars original trilogy
Jurassic Park
Chrono Trigger
The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings - I'm calling this one epic story, sue me
Proud to be the Unofficial Secret Illegal Enforcer of Eyes on Final Fantasy!
When I grow up, I want to go toBovineTrump University! - Ralph Wiggum
Honestly this is something that is so broad that it's nearly impossible to pick a top five, but here are five of my favourites which may or may not be top five, idk. Comparing mediums is also insanely hard.
The Lord of the Rings (books)
The Raven series (books)
The Longest Journey/Dreamfall series (games)
The Shawshank Redemption (film)
Lawrence of Arabia (film)
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
