    If you had a newbie forum, only newbies would go to that spam-self-advertising spawn of typed-vomit. Therefor you wouldn't get any of these welcomes some people seem to crave. Posting your welcome in a forum full of regulars is to your advantage if you actually thought about it. Otherwise you'd never stop being a newbie as every one of your forum 'pals' would be newbies too.
