questions about character themes
i know in most final fantasys, the main character has a theme clearly labled theirs, but ive noticed that neither cloud nor squall has a theme with their name actually on it. im sure they do have theme songs, or whatever u wana call them, but what are they?
i dont know if this is right, but i think clouds is probably "Anxious Heart" and squalls is either "The Oath" or "Ami" but could someone clear this up for me?

I would say Squall's would be the Oath, seeing how the piano version of it is labeled 'Squall's THeme' in winamp xDD

Dunno bout the 'Ami' song being Quistis' one but 'The Oath' suits Squall. I found a midi on some site i went to one time called 'Squalls Theme' but it was a song that never featured on the game. BTW I think that 'Where i Belong' would be Selphies theme
Ami plays in a place where Quistis has a personal scene. It's the melody of Balamb Garden's theme, which is a quistisy sort of place. And like I said, french yo.

Cloud's theme is Interrupted by Fireworks (Disc 3, Track 16), although I have also heard it to be the Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII (Disc 2, Track 1) as well. I think Interrupted by Fireworks is more fitting, myself.
What about Kimahri? He doesn't have a theme!

Are you kidding? It plays when either Tifa or Aeris begin to unravel Cloud's external, modified, Zack-based persona and try to communicate with the real Cloud that's been hidden and demented all these years. Anxious Heart doesn't play during any real story-related portion of the game.
Uematsu specifically did not compose any character themes for FFVIII.
but it fit clouds personality WAY better than "Interrupted by Fireworks," and it did play in certain parts of the game with cloud that would make sense for it to be cloud's theme.
