So, Cid, the card game Tetra Master as a whole and something that was contrived in Lindblum are all related. This Lindblum made thing has three parts that we know of, and probably more that aren't mentioned in the game. The three we know of are 7, 8 and 9. 7, 8 and 9 are unit that make up a whole. It is not alive in any sense.

The way I read the riddle, the "nimrod that arrived", discovers the units, then heads linearly forth, rather than the actual answer moving forth.

Spot on, at least up until "7, 8 and 9 are unit that make up a whole". The "whole" here is what was already mentioned as the "Lindblum made thing" (which in fact is not so much a thing as a collection of things). I'm not sure what you mean in your second paragraph, but the second half of the riddle really just tells a story that gives you directions to the answers. Let me rearrange it for you, see if it clears things up:

The nimrod arrived in our creator's home
Then headed linearly forth four times, and found us there.

Also of note is that the nimrod is not an specific entity in the game, it's just a hunter in general.

That relation will be obvious the second you hear the answer.
The answers are not related to the main plot.
The part about the nimrod relates to Lindblum.
The answers are not abstract in any way.
"Thrice from seven, quite sequential" means 7, 8, 9.
The answers were made in Lindblum, where their maker is also from.
The answers are not living things.

Is it the action figures that you see on sale in lindblum? There's two little kids playing with them, and one of them has the Alexandria army, which included Brahne. The other kid had the Lindblum army, and it probably included Cid. Though, I'm not sure they were made in Lindblum...

Hint: "Don't be blinded by the treasure" mainly hints that there's also treasure in the same area as the answers, and that's not what you want to focus on to find them.

It just makes sense that you are paying more attention to the soldiers than the treasure, but I'm really grasping at straws (I would usually have a detailed explanation)

Sort of. It doesn't really require any time worth mention, but what it suggests is that it's not tied to the plot in any way.

Well, the gain from finding these things is actually only hinted at by the game, and not actual. As far as the game goes, you don't actually gain anything from the things, but it suggests that you can use them for improving yourself in one aspect.

Actually, it refers to all three numbers: 7, 8, 9. And it has nothing to do with the game being number 9.

Wow, this is really tough. I can see why everyone was so excited when it was your turn in the VII riddles.

I just now saw the thing about them having something to do with the cards. Is it the numbers on the bottom of the card. More specifically, finding out what they mean?
