I'm looking at syns. for intelligent but I can't see a connection between them and anything about FF9. Grr. So deliciously frustrating

Question: we are looking for a charcter right? Not a monster, ability and the like?

Look at the synonyms, then think what ones have more than one meaning. From what I can see, there is only one word within the synonyms that can have any relation to an FF9 name. Remember I said, that word gives you part of the answer's name.

Well, if anyone considers him attractive... <---- I've said this before, when I say no good looks, I mean that no human would ever be with them. If you think carefully Quina isn't human, but he/she is still has the same skills as a human. What you are looking for is only alive, it doesn't have the ability to move like humans or speak like them.

Yeah. All that's why it didn't sound so good afterwards. Right...so, it's got nothing to do with fighting-ness...I reckon it's either got alot of arms, or multiple looks.
The smart clue means that the synonym of smart is also a synonym of another word. The other word gives the clue to the name?
It doesn't move like humans. I'm guessing that it slithers or summat, instead of walking. It doesn't talk like humans, so it's a sort of animal thing. Or it could just not move at all, and make no sound at all.
