you're right in thinking baby as small and not necessarily a baby itself, but what you are looking for isn't human xD hence "it"

When searching in Chocobo Hot & Cold, you may find this "baby", referring to the preciousness and relatively small (I guess) size of it.

Some of the chocographs leads you to the Fat chocobo (the innocent and the kin), who grants Choco new talents (cross ocean, cross mountain).

Chocobo Hot & Cold costs a bit of money, so it's not completely a gift, but if you find the treasures which the Chocographs refer to, it kinda pays off =)

I have many other guesses, but this is the one that made most sense to me.

You're definitely thinking right about small, Rantzien is right about the last part of the first verse too.

the hidden bit is a hint to both where it is (the place) and that the answer is hidden.

the many talents is literal, you need to think carefully about that bit, but the innocent and the kin is more in reference to a link to the answer.

It takes me so much concentration to read your posts. That monkey massacre is awesome and keeps dragging my attention towards it

I'm just thinking through everything that can only be gotten once. (i.e. the Dali Treasure chest, Ancient Aroma etc)

The only place you will know could refer to only a couple of places. Zidane would know his hideout in Lindblum Freya would know Burmecia. I think it must be some sidequest which takes place there or the prize is gotten there.

That makes sense to me. Though I think the "special place it's hidden in" is Morrid's home, and the "one place you will know" refers to the fact that you can only go on it once: in Alexandria.
