He is not high backwards means he is high.
It's in French so he has something to with France.

Zidane is a french name and he's tall!

Steiner's also tall, but isn't French.

    It's too hard

Wait, moogles send letters, and letters are French. Moogles aren't high. And they're always backwards.......

    So I'm guessing moogles!

Very wrong. The backwards doesn't apply to the phrase, only some words in the phrase.

Alot of you are going in the wrong direction. He continually says that the backwards part is related to the phrase we see not the meaning of the phrase. What we need to figure out is, is the backwards part in both the backwards phrase, the phrase forward, the translated phrase, or is it in both the french and the translated.?
    I'll figure it out later...

This is all of what I have so far

    Il n'est pas haut

    tauh sap tse'n li

    hgih ton si tI

    It is not high

Thats every possible way backwards and forwards.

Pure Quin has mentioned only 2 parts are backwards and a small part needs to be translated. As we can see, he's mentioned High is correct as he said to think basic about it. So High is the translated word if I'm correct. So ignore translating everything else.

High could mean, of great importance, of higher development/complexity (meaning evolved basically) or genuinely elevated.

the only word I can see backwards in any of those phrases is Tons/Ton everything else would have to be an anagram rather than backwards in itself. Although looking in the french part, Il n'est = Nest? perhaps.

Am I close with any idea's from this PureQ?

Right what I'm confused about, Is the NAME of the answer actually in this riddle or is only part of it?
Is it clues to the answer otherwise? If it is a name, is there an anagram in there or is it backwards as you said.

Now if all of that is a possibility, I'm going to say Frederick Ash. When you do not translate the first part yet keep High (doesn't matter works either way) Il n'est pas High, if you look closely you get the word Ash. Ash was of high importance, he was an Archaeologist compared to alot of people in the game that could either be a higher job than most others, or if he isn't high, he could be compared to royalty saying he is not in power therefore he has no high-qualities about him

Ille n'est pas haut = He is not high
Opposite He is not high = She is low
Where to go from here? No clue. Wol si ehs? ehs si wol?

abrojtm, he said that there is only a small part which needs to be translated, then 2 parts are backwards. So the full sentence will not need to be translated. Only concentrate on the word High, as he has said that high is required in this, therefore it means that this must be the word he wanted translated. Ignore the he is not when translated.

I'm afraid you're thinking far too complex there Lenna.

abrojtm is actually painfully close with one line of his post, but missed half.

The answer is one word, and is a name.

    The actor, Lowell?

"tauh sap tse'n lI" = "Il n'est pas haut"
Since it's backwards, "She is low" as abrojtm pointed out.
"she" in french = "elle", hence "Low" + "elle" ~ "Lowell".

but my guess is (and it's not a stupid one this time):

"tauh sap tse'n lI" out from French is "hgih ton si eH"
"hgih ton si eH" is the opposite of saying "He is not high" which is also the opposite of sssaying "She is low"
"She is low" into French is "Elle est basse"

so now it's "He is not high" backwards in french like before (only decoded). But it's one word. So "Elle est basse" as one word. What could that be? I think I'm on the wrong track.

Something tells me it's Beatrix. Is it Beatrix?
