I changed my username because the old one was old and simply a few vocabulary roots thrown together (terra = earth, lith = rock)
It didn't make much sense and wasn't really an interesting username.

I had another account which was Jesssica, and forgot about it and made this one - now both accounts have been merged.
Other than that, my name has only been changed against my own will! My name was 'Yes' for a day. I don't plan on changing my name, either.
